San Francisco Iyengar Institute Year One

Completed – Iyengar Institute of San Francisco Advanced Studies & 200-hr Training, 2013

In January 2013, I began another step in continuing my yoga study with the first year of Teacher Training and Advanced Studies at the Iyengar Institute of San Francisco.

From their mission statement:

  • To study, teach, disseminate and promote the art, science and philosophy of yoga according to the teachings and philosophy of B.K.S. Iyengar.
  • To foster a flourishing yoga community.
  • To promote introductory opportunities for people new to yoga by offering individually tailored classes for students in order to deepen their practice.
  • To prepare people to teach Hatha Yoga in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar.

As an accredited training program, the schedule was divided into quarters.
