The Best!!
Pros: Helpful, Smart, Patient, Funny, Good communicator
Nikki is the best instructor I’ve had. Her style of teaching is perfect for someone like myself. She is a very technical teacher. Aways fine tuning your poses to make them just right for you. Never in a hurry and always willing to let you try it out on your own pace. Always asking how your body is doing and what it feels to you. She will push you to your limits, but never farther than your body will allow or is unsafe. Plus, she is overall a fun person to be around. I feel lucky I get to have her as my teacher at least two times a week at Village Green Yoga in Issaquah!!! – Chad Adair
Fun, revitalizing, and educational
Pros: Helpful, Engaging, Encouraging, Smart, Patient, Funny, Fun, Good communicator
I just finished a 6 week alignment series with Nikki, and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to take a class with her.
Nikki keeps the class fun, while making sure everyone is working within their capabilities. I especially appreciate that she makes sure to be aware of what injuries or impediments everyone brings to the class in order to best suit the class to the individuals. And as a bit of a geek myself, I love that Nikki spends the time to explain the whys of each posture, and even each adjustment, rather than just running students through a prescribed series with little or no thought involved.
The class is a great balance of physical postures, breath work, and inner work, leading to a terrifically revitalizing experience. – David Tolmie
Awesome instructor!
Pros: Helpful, Engaging, Encouraging, Patient, Funny, Fun, Good communicator
Nikki is the best yoga instructor I’ve had. She really focuses on the individual needs of each student and she keeps us all informed on how the moves and techniques effect our bodies. Nikki’s classes are fun and informative (a model skeleton named Bob joins each class to help us see what’s what!). Nikki really knows her stuff big time. The atmosphere is light and relaxing. I always come away learning something new and feeling restored. I look forward to Nikki’s classes as a retreat for mind and body! She’s amazing. – Melissa Kruse
Yoga Explained in Layman’s Term
Pros: Helpful, Engaging, Patient, Funny
Nikki came to our “Learn Something New Fridays” and taught us Yoga for Geeks. She was able to help us get a better understanding of yoga in regular speak. I’ve been to a couple yoga classes and sometimes you can get lost in the jargon, but not with Nikki. After doing several different poses (from my chair) — I came out of the class with 3 poses I can use during my work day from my chair. What more can you ask for? – Joseph Sunga
Great for the analytical thinker
Pros: Encouraging, Patient, Fun, Good communicator
Yoga can seem so existential and “new age,” which can seem a bit absurd to cynical types, but Nikki blows past all that and gets right to the reasoning behind the techniques and poses. That’s not to say it’s boring or confusing; Nikki explains things in an easy-going way, never intimidating. – GB Bowers
Fantastic Yoga for Geeks intro
Pros: Helpful, Engaging, Encouraging, Smart, Patient, Fun, Good communicator
Nikki came in to our office for a ‘Learn Something New’ Friday session, and she was fantastic — she not only got us rolling with chair-based yoga poses and breathing exercises that were practical for our everyday workdays, but kept it fun and informative with explanations behind the terminology. Everyone had a blast — I’d definitely recommend Nikki’s classes — she’s great.
Also, there were no mentions of “embrace the golden light”, “feel the power of the universe”, and all that type of nonsense — just plain speak for a bunch of nerds — perfect! – Dave Schappell
